About Dr Peter Bartlett
Dr Peter Bartlett is a highly experienced General Practitioner and Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, with over a decade of comprehensive clinical and teaching experience. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Queensland in 2007 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012.
He has an extensive background in aged care medicine, providing ongoing care to residents at multiple facilities in north Brisbane. His practice focuses on complex chronic disease management, preventive care and end-of-life support within residential aged care environments.
In addition to his general practice at Castle Hill Medical Centre, Murrumba Downs, Dr Bartlett works as a surgical assistant in orthopaedics at Brisbane Private Hospital and Mater Private Hospital, maintaining strong procedural and perioperative skills.
He also has significant teaching involvement, supervising GP registrars through GPTQ and mentoring final-year medical students from UQ and Griffith University.
Dr Bartlett's clinical interests include aged care medicine, skin cancer detection and excision (including dermoscopy and minor flaps), family medicine and procedural general practice. Known for his calm and practical approach, he integrates evidence-based care with compassion, delivering continuity of care across both community and residential aged care settings.
